Description

Ithaca Bay is an atmospheric painting of a sea turtle moving peacefully through deep, beautiful blue water.

How it was created

As the owner of this original artwork, you’ll discover subtle textures and details that photographs simply cannot capture.

Sian builds each painting intuitively, working through layers of acrylic and spray paint to create a sense of depth, softness and movement. Acrylic is used to develop the turtle and key details, while delicate veils of spray paint are layered across the surface to soften the surrounding ocean and create its hazy, ethereal quality.

The process allows the painting to develop organically, combining precision with expressive marks and atmospheric colour. The finished piece has a sense of calm, depth and gentle movement that makes it feel as though you’re looking into the ocean itself.

Delivery information

Good news. With Sian Storey, delivery is completely free (please note - if you're ordering from outside of the UK, your order may be subject to local import charges upon delivery)

The painting will be delivered fully tracked via courier, and securely packaged in layers of thick bubble wrap, foam edges and heavy duty cardboard.

The painting will be dispatched within 14 days, however Sian will always aim to send it sooner. Please add a note to your order if you require the painting sooner and she'll try her best.

And this will be reassuring to know - if the painting isn't quite right for your space, Sian will arrange a courier return free of charge, so you’re not out of pocket.
