‘Flourish’ is an original painting by British artist Sian Storey, and is the latest in her ongoing series of paintings that explore the opulence, colour and texture of the peacock.
A beautiful and decadent painting featuring a golden pattern design that is ever-changing as the light dances on the exuberant surface. Perfect for bringing a luxurious and warm feel to your living space.
The bird overflows with splendour, with a beautiful palette of blues, pinks and rich gold. The peacock sits proudly, and entwined, with its colourful tail framing the composition, whilst the wild blossoms add energy and movement to the canvas.
Sian used acrylic and spray paint on a rectangular canvas sized at 60 x 80 x 4.5cm, and the painting is signed by the artist on the front and reverse.

Feel inspired
Sian is continually inspired by the sheer beauty of nature, and in particular birds. She was drawn to the peacock because of their recognisable markings and opulent colour. She was also inspired by their symbolism of freedom and self expression, and in this painting, she's surrounded the bird with beautiful blossoms.
How it was created
‘Flourish’ was painted in Sian Storey’s studio during 2020, in Hampshire, England. Lucky you - as the proud owner of this original work of art, you’ll be able to appreciate the delicate, detailed brushstrokes and painterly textures - something photos just can’t do justice.
Sian paints in layers, building up layers as she goes. The spray paint is used to diffuse edges and lines, creating a hazy, ethereal finish.
