‘Alive’ is an original large hummingbird painting by British artist Sian Storey. A chunky sized canvas at 80 x 80cm and 4.5cm deep, Sian used acrylic and spray paint to create this beautiful and vivid painting.
The exuberant colours of teal blue, seafoam green and electric pinks really sing on this vivid and unique canvas. The background has deliberately been kept white to create contrast, showing the shape and movement of this majestic hummingbird, one of Sian’s favourite creatures.
The painting is signed by the artist Sian Storey on the front and reverse.

Sian paints in layers, as seen in the rich acrylic paint of the wings and feathers. The spray paint is used to diffuse edges and lines, creating a hazy, dreamy finish.
