Feel inspired

The title ‘Kyoto Bloom' conjures thoughts of blossom trees bursting into life in spring.

Japan is a constant source of inspiration for Sian. The narrow shape and vibrant aesthetic of the painting is inspired by Sian's visit to the Kimono Forest, an outdoor art exhibition at Arashiyama Station near Kyoto, Japan. The painting also features Japanese origami paper collage, which creates a visual feast of colour and style.

Sian is also inspired by the beauty, movement and freedom of hummingbirds.
